Panasonic Plasma Televisions

Can I record a television show from my Panasonic Plasma using my Sony Handycam (DCR-HC28)?

And I don’t mean recording the screen image with the camera in front of the screen, but rather recording it through the AV cable. And yes, I do have the audio video output/input. How do I make this work? I would like to record.

Another name for my camcorder is a digital video camera recorder.

Thanks

What you should do is connect your AV cable from the OUTPUT jacks on your VCR/DVD PLAYER/MPV/DIGITAL TV TUNER/SATELLITE BOX or any other video source currently feeding your panasonic plasma to the INPUT jacks on your Sony Handycam.

You can only connect directly from your tv to your camera if the tv has AV OUTPUT jacks – most Tvs don’t.
