First of all 26″ only come in 720p so that will be a given but contrast on a tv is only a little important cause different manufactures measure their tv’s in different lighting. So for example if you looked at a olivea next to let say a Samsung with the same contrast level you’ll see that samsungs picture and quality beats it by far. But brands i would recommend would be sony,samsung, and sharp. Their is a sony model the kdl26m4000 that’s only 599.99 at best buy, it’s a good buy i promise.
