Can I use my LCD TV stand mount on an Led Tv?

I have my LCD sitting on a TV stand with a universal mount. Will the same mounting system work on a Samsung Led?

LCD and LED (really “LCD with LED backlight”) Tvs use the same VESA mounting system. The part of the mount that actually couples to the TV is a plate with screw holes in a 200mm x 200mm square, or sometimes 150×200 If both sets have the same hole spacing, you’re fine. If not, there are adapter plates to go from one VESA mount size to another – in fact a universal mount should have come with such a plate.
